First things first - thanks for reading and sharing your advice, it really means a lot! I applied last year with subpar experiences, writing, and school list, and I'm ready to do it the right way this time.

• cGPA: 3.75
• sGPA: 3.87
• MCAT: 517 (130/128/132/127) (May 2022) -> 524 (132/130/130/132) (May 2025, retook for reapp)
• Residence: OR living in CA (San Francisco) for several years
• Ethnicity: Indian
• Undergrad: UC Berkeley (class of ‘23)
• Clinical Experience: 400hrs + 400 projected (all volunteering)
  • Hospital volunteering (General): 133 hrs (‘19)
  • Hospice volunteering (Patient support & bereavement support): 250 hrs (‘24-’25), 250 projected
  • Hospital volunteering (Teacher @ children’s hospital): 20hrs (‘25), 250 projected
• Research Experience: >4500 hrs + >2000 projected
  • Undergrad Intern: 750 hrs (‘22-’23) - no pubs, two poster presentations
  • Jr. Specialist (UCSF): 3500hrs (‘23-’25), 2000 projected - two first authors in progress, three mid/low authors in progress, one low author getting submitted this summer.
    • It’s a stem cell wet lab so it takes at least a couple years to grow cells and collect enough data. I got a very good PI letter.
• Shadowing: 85 hrs
  • Dermatology - 20hrs, Nephrology - 20hrs, Surgical Oncology (India) - 10hrs, Cardiac Electrophysiology (Stanford) - 35hrs
• Non-Clinical Volunteering: 195hrs + 300 projected
  • Refugee nonprofit (Liaison / English Tutor): 40hrs (‘23)
  • Food Bank Volunteer: 80 hrs (spread across various orgs)
  • Street Cleaning / Outreach Org: 75 hrs (‘25) + 300 projected
    • It’s mainly a trash pickup organization, but I have helped them expand into outreach with homeless populations in problem neighborhoods, partnering with other orgs to provide them resources.

Also would like advice on whether or not to apply for TMDSAS (and the timelines for that)!
