  12. Anything else not listed you think might be important: I have played soccer since I was very young (US soccer high school scholar All-American), enjoyed playing piano (Carnegie Hall Level 9), played percussion in band in high school, taught myself how to play guitar. I also enjoy cooking. These are things I do to relax.
  13. LORs: I am thinking to ask my Physics professor (also my PI this year), Ochem professor (I am also working as learning assistant for her class this year), a doctor at home town that has known me for many years and let me shadow for 3 years. I will review the final school list and see if additional reference is needed.
Appreciate the read and ANY comments/suggestions welcome!
I have multiple midwestern MSs on the list, thinking they might favor students from the Midwest (will be closer to my support system also).

Could add Wash U. I had some classmates with your stats who made it in. Long time ago but they like locals.

Not sure you meet Carle's requirements so check.

What is your purpose or mission as a doctor?
You were absolutely right that their requirements don't align with my profile—it may not be the best fit after all. Thank you for your insight! What do you think of the rest of my list? Should I consider adding more higher- or lower-tier schools?

As for my purpose as a doctor, I worked as an EMT last summer (part-time now), where I really enjoyed interacting with patients, learning their stories, and helping them find relief and treatment. Also, my volunteer work with a soup kitchen in California has deepened my understanding of the systemic challenges in providing better care for underrepresented communities.

I took the advice of someone to look only at schools with median MCAT scores within the range of +/-3 of my score, so I filtered out WashU. Not too sure if they like locals but based on their AAMC data there are not many matriculates that are from In State. Will add to list now. Thank you for the suggestion!
