Would prefer to apply MD only

Tentative school list: all CA public schools + UW + OHSU + University of Arizona + UW Wisconsin + Wake Forest + Drexel

Would ideally like to apply to a lot more but I know that TX/FL/NY (and most public schools) have heavy in-state preference

Bonus: Would it be worthwhile to apply to any schools in Europe (English speaking)? If so, which ones?

I suppose you can look if anyone is active in our International Programs subforum. I know about Atlantic Bridge to Ireland, Ochsner Queensland, Singapore Duke/NUS. The question is why you want to do that. Is it just about money and financial aid?

Thank for the reply! I just wanted to keep my options open. Ideally I would like to attend a school in the US, but we will see how it goes.

So why are you switching from comp neurosci to medicine? Have you attended recruitment events at medical schools? What feedback have you received from prehealth advisors?

Becoming a Student Doctor features a handful of profiles from medical students that went overseas for their professional education, though it didn't cover the details of the transition as much as the article I posted.

Medicine has always been the goal, comp neuro was what the research the lab I joined was doing. I am interested in radiology and neurology, so I thought it lab was a good fit and stuck with it. I haven't got the chance to visit medical schools, but medical schools have come to our uni to talk about their programs. My prehealth advisor recommend me to apply 2026 cycle and start getting everything ready.

I suggest these schools with your stats:
The UCs (except Riverside unless you are from that region)
Kaiser
California University
California Northstate
Loma Linda (if you fit their mission)
Roseman
Arizona State School of Medicine and Medical Engineering
Alice Walton
Belmont
TCU
Ponce (St. Louis)
Rosalind Franklin
Carle Illinois
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
NOVA MD
Methodist
Wake Forest
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
George Washington
Penn State
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Albany
Vermont
Quinnipiac

OHSU has heavy in-state preference and UW has WWAMI region preference.
