Realized I didn't post on the actual WAMC thread and can't delete my other post, sorry for any inconvenience šŸ˜…
Traditional Texas applicant. School list is currently all texas schools except UTRGV, Sam Houston, UIW, and UT Tyler. I'm looking for any OOS MD schools that are worth applying to as well , I have minimal ties to Michigan and NC if that's any help.

stats: trad applicant, 4.0 GPA as of now but might end up with like a ~3.95, ORM
510 (125/129/126/130) very worried about my lower science section scores
A lot of my app revolves around helping a specific population

  • 200 hours REU w same lab
  • 150 hours with another lab at my school, 2 posters, no pubs

In an ideal world I would retake my MCAT but due to my classes this semester and wanting to apply early I don't think it's possible to do it in time for this cycle. I'm going to apply and if I'm not accepted I will retake, since I'd have to wait a year anyways. I'd appreciate any advice!

I removed your duplicate post for you
Median MCAT for IS matriculants in TX is 511.4 so you are in range.
Realize that as a med student and doctor you will be serving a wide range of patients and not just your ā€œspecific populationā€

Yeah for sure! I just mentioned it because it ties into my "narrative" around my application that I mentioned in my PS. Do you have any OOS MD schools you think are worth applying to considering my stats?
