Date of submission: Most likely around 6/20 waiting on last LOR
Overall GPA: 3.85 CC/ 3.9 at University
Science GPA: Have not done the specific calculations but I essentially have straight As with one C in a math course
DAT score (include AA and all sections): 22AA/22 PAT/23 TS/23 RC/20QR/24 BIO/22 OC/22GC
State of Residence: CA

Undergrad Attended: CC transfer to UC
Major: General Biology
Minority? Yes
Reapplicant? No

Shadowing Experience: 100 hours with two general dentists (same office)
Volunteering Experience: 130 total (leadership position as tutor, food bank, vaccination site)
Employment: 450 as a dental assistant, 1000+ minimum wage jobs
Research: 1 week-long introductory summer research program
Other Extracurriculars: Attend dental club meetings but not very involved
Relevant Honors or Awards: Deans list, honor society at university, will graduate either summa or magna cum laude
Misc Info/Things not stated elsewhere/Red Flags: Concerned about using AP credits for English prereqs (passed two AP English exams), some CC prereqs (gen bio series, gen chem series, 1/2 of ochem)
LOR: One from dentist I worked for, one from dentist I shadowed, biochem prof, and chem prof

with that list, yeah, you are short on safety schools even though your grades and DAT are above average
URM status will help some, but you need to look at OOS acceptance rates at the OOS publics you are applying to...
