I'm applying to MD schools and prefer to be somewhere in the South/Southeast/ Northeast. I'd appreciate any and all advice! Here's all my info:
1. cGPA: 3.74, sGPA: 3.73, no clear trend
2. MCAT: 518 (130/128/130/130)
3. Florida resident
4. Asian, Male
5. UF, Top 5 public university for undergrad
6. Clinical:
Scribe at Trauma ICU - 1000hrs
will continue till next yr June
7. Research:
-Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory - 1000hrs
- Research scholarship program - results in publication and poster
-Research recognition program
8. Shadowing:
-Vascular surgeon/ cath lab - 10hrs & 25hrs in high school
-orthopedic- 10 hrs
-Cardiology-25hrs in High school
- Oncology- 20 hrs in High school
Pulmonologist(India)- 30 hrs in high school
Virtual shadowing-30 hrs
9. Non-Clinical Volunteering:
Suicide hotline Volunteer- 108hrs
10. Baking4Wellness Vice President
• Started a new student organization dedicated to promoting mental health through baking.
• Led peers in meetings, workshops, and promoting mental health awareness.

Keep building your non-clinical volunteering, and find something less clinic-adjacent than the crisis line. Ideally: food distribution, shelter work, job placement services, transportation services, or housing rehabilitation.
