Hello! I am very new to SDN, so I apologize for any formatting issues. I am applying this coming cycle and would like help with my school list. Here are my stats:

  1. GPA: 3.86 cGPA/ 3.85 sGPA
  2. MCAT: 513 (129/126/128/130)
  3. State of Residence: Pennsylvania, although I have lived split between PA & NY for most of my life.
  4. ORM/URM: ORM
  5. School: Public state school
  6. Clinical: 2000 hrs paid 911 EMT in an underserved urban city, 1500+ hrs ER tech at level 1 in the same city.
  7. Research: 400 hrs research, currently working on a pub that'll hopefully be out soon. I will be the second author.
  8. Shadowing: 0 as of now, although I am supposed to be shadowing an FM doc.
  9. Volunteering: 1500 hrs at a horse rescue, some of this time is with adults with disabilities, probably 1000 of these hours are from high school. 200 hrs hospice
  10. Activities: I was on a club athletics team that was nationally competitive. I was on the eboard for 3 years, and my most recent position was vice president.
  11. Relevant honors or awards: Nothing worth noting.
  12. I think I have a decent narrative with good writing skills. I grew up in a very rural medically underserved area and came to a university in an urban medically underserved area. My PS talks about what I learned from these experiences.

Remove USC Greenville, UMass unless you have some very strong connection to those states. You could add Hackensack
I have a family in Greenville and I went to UMass for undergrad. Would those count as strong connections?

Attending UMass is definitely a connection for medical schools admissions. Who are the family members in Greenville and how long have they lived there ?
My brother has lived outside of Greenville for ~5 years
