I feel like my list is kind of top heavy, and I just want a reality check with some of the schools I'm applying to, especially because I don't have much in the way of research output. I pretty much just copy pasted what admit.org told me to do for my list. Though at a few seminars from medical schools, they have said that's not the end-all be-all.

1. 4.0
2. 521 (130, 130, 129, 132)
3. GA
4. Asian, no gap years
5. public university
6. Clinical experience:
non-volunteer: home health aide (1500 hours, paid), MA (400 hours, unpaid)
volunteer: free clinic (270 hours)
7. Research experience
-Lab 1: 600 hours, genetics/cell biology wet lab, no pubs/posters
-Lab 2: 190 hours + more expected, chemistry wet lab, 1 pub expected (not before I submit primaries)
-Research Program: 75 hours, computational with clinical application, 1 poster (3rd place winner at institutional competition)
8. Shadowing
-GI: 20 hours, Cardio: 20 Hours, Pulmonology: 20 Hours, EM: 20 hours
9. Volunteer
-Charity that helps build houses, 520 hours
-Tutor (SAT, K-12 for underprivileged kids in my community)
10. Leadership
-Cultural Club president of media (150ish hours)
-Board member of an honors program (80 hours)
-Intramural sports (basketball + volleyball, 400 hours)
11. For awards, I really just have that one 3rd place finish to my name lol
12. I like learning languages (I know 3, learning a fourth), and Spanish interpretation be a big part of my application. I have a Spanish minor and a biliteracy seal on my high school diploma.

Welcome to the forums. Where did you grow up in Georgia?

I'm not sure your list is that top-heavy on first impression. Some of them (Colorado, Iowa, Miami) may make me wonder about the connection/mission fit. Also, keep your eyes open for UGA's medical school if it gets preliminary accreditation and can accept applications near the end of the cycle.

Thank you! I grew up near Rome, but I've moved around since then.

I definitely had UGA on my list, but I was unsure if I would be able to apply there this cycle. Some of the schools I have on my list I selected because I was above the median MCAT/gpa range and because they were more OOS friendly, but I don't really have much connection to them; if I don't have a connection or a solid mission fit, should remove those schools from my list?

Well, you can't apply to UGA right now, but it's possible they may pull a spring surprise (like Belmont did recently) for a super-fast admission for their inaugural class.

I would make sure I knew why I wanted to attend medical school at the OOS programs that you don't have much connection with. You ultimately have to answer the question why you are applying to them.
