Hi! Thank you for taking your time to read this! Like the title says, I don't have any non-clinical volunteering or much in the way of ECs compared to many people, so any school lists would be super helpful! Thanks!
- cGPA: 3.86, sGPA: 3.87
- MCAT: 519 (130/128/130/131)
- State of residence: California (rip)
- Ethnicity: URM, hispanic, low-SES, first gen, spanish-speaking
- Undergrad: UCLA
- Clinical experience: 400 hrs volunteering in a hospital, also recently started a job as a scribe in a primary clinic and ill probably have around 100 hrs when i submit apps and 2000 predicted (i also help translate here but i don't know if i should include this activity because its new)
- Research experience: 900 hrs as an intern during undergrad in an AD lab, 100 hrs as a volunteer during covid mostly doing literature review, 1600 hrs as a full-time researcher in a cancer lab, no pubs/posters
- Shadowing experience: 100 hours shadowing (10% oncology, 90% anesthesia/but mostly watched whatever the surgeon was doing, including GI, cardio, peds, trauma, OBGYN, ortho, plastics)
- Non-clinical volunteering: none
- Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc): about 250 hours as a learning assistant but I did get course credit so idk if that counts
- Relevant honors or awards: deans honor list all four years except my first and second quarters, cum laude
- Other: I only have 2 strong LORs from science professors and 2 from my previous PIs
