Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. Little background info ORM (Asian), 1st Time Applicant, strong preference for a school in an urban area.

  • Research Experience: 1 year in developmental biology lab on campus, 1 poster and presented at regional conference (~800 hours). Currently working on clinical research manuscript as first author, was going to present poster at national conference but cancelled.
  • Publications/Abstracts/Posters (include how you were credited e.g. First author, second author, etc.): Presented poster at regional conference + at school Undergrad Research Symposium. Working on publication as first author, unsure on timetable, pushing to publish late Fall.
  • Clinical Experience (paid or volunteer): 150 hours in Emergency Department (volunteer), 150 hours Clinical Assistant for free clinic (volunteer), 60 hours abroad as scribe (volunteer)
  • Physician Shadowing: 100 Hours (Otolaryngologist, Occupational/Environmental Health, Pediatrics + Premed Exploration Program(observed rounds + meetings for Internal Med Residents)
