-516 MCAT
-3.77 total GPA, 3.7 science, 3.8 other. STRONG upward trend (carried over 20 credit hours of 3.0 from highschool dual enrollment)
-2 publications in relevant peer reviewed journals (second and third author out of ~six), 2000?+ hours of research
-80 hours shadowing, split between two doctors
-200 + hours clinical volunteering split between a clinic and hospital ER
-various undergraduate and conference presentation awards
-NO non-clinical volunteering ( I know, whoops.)
-1 year gap year, worked several interesting jobs since then worth talking about
- Institutional Action- Underage drinking citation freshman year. Did not think this counted while submitting primary and am thus emailing it as an update to each school as I turn in secondaries.
-Virginia Resident, North Carolina undergrad

School List:

George Washington
Wake Forest
Georgetown
Perelman UPenn
VCU
UVA
Duke
VT
Eastern VA
UNC

I have received secondaries from all so far except for Eastern VA. Keep in mind this is without the institutional action factoring in yet (while I don't think it is a huge deal it certainly won't help). Eastern VA loves community service so maybe my lack of volunteer hours is hurting me there.

What are realistic chances at interviews and acceptances? I probably should be writing secondaries right now but yea... haha.

Thanks in advance for any input!

I suggest adding these schools to your application:
Quinnipiac
Hofstra
New York Medical College
Penn State
Seton Hall
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
NOVA MD
West Virginia
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin

Thanks, I will look deeper into these with MSAR tomorrow. I would like to stay on the East Coast close to VA if possible so I can visit my family often. Pretty high priority for me. Any comments on my chances for the list I have so far? WVA will be added soon for sure

U Penn is a reach and UNC accepts few non residents but if you went there for undergraduate school it is worth applying to.
Thanks about what I was thinking. I have a family connection to UPenn so I thought it was worth the chance and yea UNC might look favorably upon me for all the undergrad money I gave them
