• EMT-B (Volunteer): 150 hours. Started as a junior volunteer in 2022, now NYS-certified EMT. Mainly served during summers and holidays. Low hours because no reciprocity in Virginia.
• Hospital ED and Observation (Volunteer): 200 hours. Three hospitals, 2 EDs and 1 Orthopedics and Observation department since start of college.
• Medical Assistant (ANTICIPATED Non-volunteer): 2000 hours. This'll be during my gap year, already accepted to a job but starts in June so I'll talk about it on my secondaries...

7. Research experience and productivity:

• Wet Lab: 500 hours since 2024. Wet lab/analytical techniques on cancer cells
• Policy Lab: 650 hours since 2022. Behavioral science research, lead my own IRB-approved study.
• 1 pub in a student-run journal at UVA (so it doesn't count as an actual pub)
• 6 posters in local UVA-run symposiums and poster sessions (so not actual posters...)
• 1 poster in Virginia Academy of Science Annual Meeting (so maybe 1 actual poster?)

• Nephrology DO: 20 hours
• Family Medicine MD: 50 hours

9. Non-Clinical Volunteering:

• Crisis Hotline Operator: 180 hours. Since 2023. Confidential mental health/suicide intervention.
• ESL Assistant: 140 hours. 2023-2025. Weekly English support for international graduate students.
• Hospital Musician: 140 hours. 2022-2025. Weekly performances in local cancer center for patients.

When making school list, I focused on stat match and if they accept AP credit (because I have AP credit for some prereqs). Am not sure about mission fit, hoping to get some advice on that.
