Hey all, just got my 4th mcat retake and was wondering if I could get any help with my school list and see if I have a chance at MD. Going to be applying to DO as well just in case but hoping this is my year! Just for context, I applied a year ago to a smaller net of MD schools (dumb, I know) but am expanding my list this year to a wider net of MD schools.

Female, Chinese, 2 gap years Wisconsin resident
MCAT: 503>504>502>512(129,126,127,130)
Major: Biochemistry, T15 University (University of Southern California)
cGPA 3.76, sGPA:3.72, one C+ in Organic Chemistry II
  • Extracurriculars:
    • D1 athlete: 3,000 hours
      • played for a top 10-ranked school Division 1 school
      • multiple academic honors from conference and ITA
    • Honors Society: 200 hours
      • member of my school's honors society for good gpa
    • Chinese-American Club: 1000 hours
      • national reward for being top contributor to club, bronze volunteer award
      • on executive board
  • Clinical Experience:
    • EMT: 2,000 hours help with immediate life-threatening emergencies
      • Many codes and stabbing/stroke patients
      • IV-trained
    • Caretaker for grandmother and grandfather: 2,000 hours
      • lived with each grandparent and aided with care
      • balanced caretaking while being a full-time student and working

You can apply anywhere you want but be aware that some (many, most) schools average multiple MCAT scores. And even if they don’t average the scores, they are able to see all of your s ores.
