WAMC/School List

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I can't provide you with a specific school list, but I would say it would be worth applying to T20s with your stats and ECs (specfically X factor martial artist and leadership which T20s love) - maybe 10 well-picked ones, including UCLA, UCSD, and UCSF (which all have state bias you can leverage!! Also they have pretty big spreads of MCAT and GPA since they use a really holistic process, and your MCAT will make up for your GPA mostly at these schools since your MCAT is many points above their medians). The rest of your schools should probably be mid-tiers - 15 or so, think Einstein, Irvine, Colorado, etc.

I suggest these schools with your stats:
The UCs (except Riverside unless you are from that region)
USC Keck
California University
TCU-UNT
Tulane
Miami
USF Morsani
Duke
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
George Washington
Jefferson
Drexel
Temple
Pittsburgh
Seton Hall
Hofstra
Einstein
Mount Sinai
Rochester
Vermont
Tufts
Boston University
Dartmouth
Case Western
Ohio State
Cincinnati
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin

I didn’t know the UC’s had in state bias! I’m glad because I would like to stay in CA 🙂

Would you recommend applying to:
Kaiser
WashU/UChicago/NYU as they like high mcat? Or do you think my gpa makes those reaches?

UCSF and Kaiser are good, and you can apply to schools like WashU, UChicago, and NYU, just not too many. I would say they are probably reaches - although realistic reaches.

UCSF is a reach but is worth including and you could add Kaiser. Your GPA is too low for the other schools.
