EDIT: I am very grateful to say that I had 7 total interviews with 1 pre-match offer despite the low CARS score
EDIT 2: I am now at the end of my cycle with a total of 8 interview invitations and 3 acceptances. I never expected this outcome, and for anyone reading this in the future, know that your score is not the only way to show that you are capable!

Hi everyone, I just got my MCAT score today and it was way lower than my FL averages. My TMDSAS application will be complete in the next few days now that my score has been released, and I would like to have realistic expectations about what to do from here.

You should receive multiple interviews from your Texas schools. The Texas schools like high GPAs. Are there any other areas of the country that interest you besides Texas ?

I'd like to stay as close to Texas as possible, but I have lived in Louisiana before. My family and I left after hurricane Katrina, but I'm not sure if this is a strong enough tie since they accept very little OOS. Would it be worth it to apply via AMCAS this year? I don't want to limit my opportunities, but the low MCAT is making me less hopeful.

Hi,
My GPA 3.9; MCAT 509 applied last year, got 2 interviews (UTMB, & Texas Tech Lubbock) pre-matched UTMB. You should apply to all Texas med schools (UNT, UH...)
