Hey guys, I have a list of schools that I’m applying to and trying to narrow it down a bit. Applying to a lot of DO, but was wondering if you think I have a shot at any MD schools. I’m OOS everywhere, 3.8 gpa overall & sgpa, 508 MCAT (the real killer of my application). Do you think the MCAT averages are going to be lower this cycle due to covid?

There is a 62% overall MD acceptance rate for your stats, so you definitely aren't sunk yet.
It's also impossible to tell unless you have a time machine. People with strong MCATs are probably still going to apply. The question is whether individuals with weaker MCATs and who want to retake it are going to wait another cycle.

My answer to your question is: while we don't know, I wouldn't bank on the overall applicant average being lower as a result of COVID-19. There are probably many applicants who took their exams within the last year but delayed their application that the applicant median probably won't go down by a lot if it does.

For MD, I’m planning on applying to Tufts- Maine track, Kaiser, Quinnipiac, University of Vermont, George Washington University, Georgetown, Eastern Virginia Medical College
Albany Medical College, Penn State University, Drexel University, Temple University, Thomas Jefferson University, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, and Seton Hall University. Let me know if you think there’s any that I’m missing! Tried to apply to the most OOS friendly ones
