WAMC

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Pitt is your cheapest option so that should be your goal. I can't find their admissions info online, but I'd assume your gpa is slightly below average while your DAT is well above average. I definitely think you're competitive there, especially with your solid EC's so far. Just pick up volunteering ASAP. I'd take off schools like Touro, Boston, Tufts, and NYU (unless planning on doing HPSP). These schools cost way too much without outside help.

First of all, this is a very long post. I don't know who you think has enough time to read all of this. Clearly anyone who actually got into dental school would spend his or her time more effectively than doing exactly what I am doing right now. You have been washing that dish for a very long time. I hope the chicken and BBQ sauce was delicious. Anyway, back to the point: your future. I don't really see one tbh. Let's get into this:

Your GPA is a little low, it should be 7.0 at least. My GPA was 4,506 and even that is me rounding down so I don't make you feel like **** for being so inferior. Your DAT score should at least be in the triple digits if you even tried reading the questions. I don't know why you said you are not a minority because i'm pretty sure your low ass stats make you a minority. It's funny that you say you're not a reapplicant because i'm pretty sure by this time next year, that's gonna change. I would roast the "volunteer experience: none" but it's honestly so pathetic already that I don't think you even need my help there. However, clearly, YOU need to learn how to help other people because your volunteer experience is nonexistent. I see that after 300 hours of your biotech research you have "no publications/presentations", that goes to show that no matter how much time you invest in a position you fail to produce any impressive results. I see that you have NO AWARDS OR HONORS. That is disgraceful. Your parents must be very ashamed of you. Maybe you'll win the award for the most pathetic applicant, though, keep your hopes up.

As for your list of dental schools, I recommend deleting all of them. You are not worth even a high school diploma. I think it will take more than the "several science classes" you are currently taking to raise that GPA to a number that will get you anywhere.

Best of luck with the admissions process! 🙂
