Summarize any concerns you have

I completed my prerequisites years ago and I did terrible my first years of college, balancing helping my grandparents and trying to complete school to better myself. My grades didn’t improve until my last years of undergrad, but the damage was already done. I did great in my Masters program and I have retaken some prerequisites. However, even by taking the prerequisites my Cumulative GPA and Science GPA is not budging high enough for schools that include all attempts taken. I think my only way to get in at this point is to retake all courses for prerequisites and petition to exclude old grades. Even then my issue is I’m getting older not younger haha I will accept all feedback and guidance.... thanks ahead of time

I am quoting and replying to your post in hopes that it will be moved it it’s own individual thread.
You will likely be auto-rejected from Western and Iowa-Western has a minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 2.75, and last cycle Iowa had a science GPA cut-off of 3.0. With your stats, you will under go an early academic review at Colorado (anyone with a cumulative GPA of <3.2 does) and if I had to guess due to their competitive nature, you would be likely rejected from there as well. Have you put in much research to these schools?
As someone with a low cumulative GPA that didn’t move despite the many A’s I achieved in 4 credit courses, I sympathize with your cumulative GPA. What is concerning and will continue to be an uphill battle for you will be your science GPA. My recommendation would be to retake any course you got a C in, and only apply to schools that honor grade replacement to bring up your science GPA-this will also help boost your last 45 GPA as well. You need to be able to demonstrate to schools you’re able of handling those difficult science courses and show that upward trend. You can use the explanation statement to talk about what caused your low grades previously and what you’ve done since to fix them.
Overall, my suggestion is to not apply this cycle. I suggest you spend this cycle working on retaking courses, fixing your science GPA and last 45 GPA, and doing more research into schools. Schools that honor grade replacement should be at the top of your list. Last I checked, Iowa was one of them, but it’s important for you to look at how they calculate their science GPA since it’s different than other schools. Personally, this worked out to my advantage, hopefully it can for you as well.
Good luck.
