Rising undergrad senior. Applying to Cornell (In state), NC State, University of Illinois, Purdue, and Mizzou

GPA: 3.73 (hoping to raise to 3.8 before graduation)
Science GPA: ~3.55

Major: Zoology
Minor: Chemistry

Vet experience:
40 hrs shadowing mixed animal GP over one month
~600 hours vet assistant at vet ER

Animal:
~3 hrs volunteering at local shelter
Will be volunteering at local large animal rescue this summer, not sure how many hours I will get.

Research:
120 hours as lab technician intern at cortisol quantification lab

Extracurriculars:
Secretary, Women in Stem Club last year
Pre-vet club, member this year
Joined local sorority this past semester
Joined club focusing on volunteering at local animal shelters

Employment:
~450 hours sales associate
~165 hours front desk worker at my college's Biological Field Station

Achievements:
High School Valedictorian + graduated a year early
Dean's list - 3 semesters
President's list - 2 semesters (hopefully 3... awaiting this past semester's grades)
Presidential Scholarship
Induction into National Honors Society in High school

LoR: biochemistry professor, anatomy professor, pre-vet advisor, ER vet
 
Your GPAs are probably around average for the schools you have listed. What is your last 45?

You will benefit from more experience hours if this cycle does not result in a seat for you somewhere. 640 hours isn't terribly low, but you need to stand out somehow. As a general recommendation, spend a lot of time on your personal statement and have it proofread by as many people as possible (and from different backgrounds, so not all vet-types).
