Hi all! Hoping to gain some insight on my chances of getting into these specific schools. I don't really feel confident about my GPA/STATS.
Also, I would really appreciate opinions on my final list of schools! I'm trying to cut down to ~10 schools but seeing my friends getting rejected/waitlisted last app cycle
despite higher stats than me, Im so anxious at the moment..

I also will be applying as a disadvantaged student - financial difficulties/single parent mom/first-gen immigrant. Would it be wise to apply as a disadvantaged status? I read few posts about how it's better not to classify yourself as disadvantaged since it could affect app negatively..
(I was clearly disadvantaged)
Thanks so much!

"east coast" is not a state

apply as disadvantaged

i would recommend not cutting down your list if you can afford it
you have 6 of the 8-9 most difficult to get into schools on your list
so it's going to be a challenge, despite your incredible DAT score

Im thinking OP is in Pennsylvania from the looks of it, in which case Pitt should be fairly within reach with those stats

what are the most 6? I thought it was just colubmia/harvard/ucsf/uop that would be far reach for me,

Thanks so much!!

Also, any suggestions on schools to add??

Other than those that you listed. UNC and Illinois are not OOS friendly

Your stats with those hardships are solid and I truly admire you. Don't worry about the PAT, I got a 20 there. My mom has been a single parent with financial hardship since she had me at 16 and she pushed like you and is now a successful doctor. You got this! I honestly think you'll do well in the application cycle, especially if you write your personal statement in a compelling manner and apply to some more schools. I definitely recommend LECOM. OOS public schools will be pretty difficult overall (though I know Michigan takes a lot of OOS so you have a decent chance there) but you'll have a great shot at your IS and probably Penn! Interviews are a big part of it and I know you'll do well there as you have an admirable story. Good luck, you're awesome.

Edit: What's your BCP gpa? And is there an upwards or downwards trend in your gpa, or has your gpa always hovered around 3.6?
Columbia loves high DAT scores, which you have. Their average gpa dat is 3.7 23; you have a solid shot there too. Still apply to LECOM and other OOS friendly places though to be safe.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your help. MY BCP Gpa is 3.6, definitely upward! your encouragement is really what I needed... I feel so much more assured. Would you be able to quickly read over my ps + disadvantaged essay if it's not too much too ask?
