I'm taking the PCAT on November 9. I'm looking for someone to study with from October 31-November 4 for like 4-5 hours a day. I took off work to finish preparing for the test. I live in Manayunk, but would be down to meet at Villanova, St. Joe's, Temple or Jefferson. I don't want to go all the way to 30th St., so I wouldn't really want to go to USP or Drexel.

You want to study next week for 5 hours a day when you aren't taking the PCAT until January?

Is this your first time? How much have you prepared so far?

First time. I've gone through all of Dr. Collins chemistry 2-3 times (90-95% on tests), I am almost done going through Biology for the first time (80% on tests, but I really haven't concentrated on this at all), and almost done going through Quant for the first time (90% on tests with plenty of time to spare, but I keep skipping limits). I went through all of Kaplan Biology. I didn't start any reading yet. I was going to write 3-4 practice essays also. And I am taking the 3 official practice tests over the next 2 weeks.

For the writing portion, all i did was look at sample essays on the pearson website and copied the EXACT format.

Intro: fancy first couple of sentences followed by 2-3 solutions to the problem.
Paragraph 1: talk about solution #1, last 2 sentences say why it wont work and propose an alternative.
Paragraph 2/3: same as 1.
Conclusion: restate thesis.

honestly my essay was EXTREMELY elementary. i did not have time to spruce it up with impressive words. I just followed the exact format expected of a 4 or 5 essay and ended up with a 4.5!
