I am a US citizen in a med school in Thailand who will graduate with a GPA not exceeding 2.75 (I know it sucks, I've been slacking off for a long time, I guess I was too childlish.)Now, I suddenly realized I want to go back to residency in America. I know my GPA is bad but if there is any chance I will try to study the hardest for my USMLE. There isn't many research program available in Thailand so I have slim chances of rasing my resume to another step. Do you think it is futile? Any idea please share with me.
I really want to train in neurology though 🙁 (regretting my past lifetime)

If you have not graduated yet, you should consider doing a neuro rotation in the US.

Then you'll need to rock the USMLE's.

Neuro is relatively non-competitive but the match is getting tougher every year.

Agree that you should try a neuro rotation in the US and at least get some LORs to give you some credibility. But I tend to think that a FMG generally needs BETTER stats than US counterparts to do as well.
