So I was super silly and mis-remembered the date I thought I was interviewing at a local school this week. Thought it was a Thursday interview, but it turns out to be tomorrow. I got my suit dry-cleaned yesterday (ready tomorrow afternoon...during my interview day....a day before that day I THOUGHT i was interviewing) Called the cleaner, and they apparently just can't get it ready by this afternoon...slash, not even sure they can get a hold of the physical suit by this afternoon. It's apparently shipped to another facility and she's not sure if she can get it back in time or even find it.

I have a back up suit....grey pinstripe from Hugo Boss... but I'm not sure if it's as appropriate for an interview. What should I do??? Ach freaking out.

first of all, there are men's and women's interview clothing threads. just fyi.

second of all, what could be wrong with a grey pinstripe? go for it.

I'm sure it will be fine! As long as you are wearing A suit in a neutral color, they will not notice anything about it. Have a GREAT interview!! 🙂

If your others suit was black, this may be blessing in disguise, cuz grey/charcoal is actually better than black for interviews

Why so? This is my 11th interview and almost everyone seems to wear black.

Black is supposed to be for formal events like weddings/funerals, navy and charcoal are actually the standard business colors and just because everyone in the world of med school interviews wears black doesnt mean anything. But that aside, 11 interviews ???? dont tell me there all at place like harvard, hopkins, etc.

Either way, doesn't matter. Most people wear black, but I've seen a decent number of people wearing grey or blue. No one has commented either way.
