I actually find 102 a lot more fascinating and interesting.

I liked animal physiology and evolution a lot, but lost interest with ecology and plant bio.

Class difficulty depends on the teacher maybe more than the subject material. Get a great teacher and you'll be fine regardless of the class.

It usually starts off with genetics and animal anatomy and physiology, so those parts are really interesting, especially in comparison to things like photosynthesis. When it gets to plant A&P and ecology....it's just not my thing...

no bio 2 was just so stupid... i hated it. hated it so much.

have fun memorizing stupid pointless taxonomy **** OP

Intro bio courses are generally very straightforward without much need for critical thinking or application.

I didn't like bio 102. 101 at my school was molecular/human biology stuff. 102 was the ecology/animal science things which for me = 😴

102 was generally known to be the easier one of the two but of course, certain professors could make it more difficult.

Viruses and Bacteria were cool.

Plants are not my forte. I was fortunate to have a 101 professor who hated plants, however my 102 teacher loved them.

Nah, not at all. The concepts aren't any more difficult to grasp but there's a lot of taxonomy memorization -_-

I liked bio 2 better than bio 1, but mainly because of the professor. I did find evolution to be really interesting though.

Personally Evolutionary Biology is in my opinion one of the most interesting topics in biology. Furthermore macrobiology in my opinion is significantly more interesting than molecular biology.

I got a B for Bio102; therefore, it was more difficult. I hated that stupid phylogeny class.

I think it was easier in some aspects but more difficult in others. For example, in biology 1, I found it was very interesting to study the respiratory and cardiovascular cycles....I didn't mind studying it. In bio 2, it took all the motivation I could muster to learn the parts of a plant and take a practical on it 😴 . If I had to say, I would say biology 2 was easier (with the exception of genetics portion, which was just as difficult as any of the material covered in biology 1).
