So I used the free consultation that Passport Admissions offers, and the the lady made a claim that I am not totally convinced by. I told her that I planned on submitting my app with my 508 MCAT so I could start my secondaries and then retaking the MCAT August 4th. This way everything would be done by labor day. She said that med schools will initially put applications into 3 piles: "likely no", "maybe", and "likely yes". She then said that if I submit my app with the 508 MCAT I would be put in the "likely no" pile, and it will be very difficult to get out of that pile, even if I score higher on my august MCAT.

What do you guys think about this?

I would apply with a 508, assuming your GPA isn’t garbage. In actuality, I did apply with a 508.

If you told her you wanted to apply to Harvard-tier schools, she has a point. If you’re planning to apply to your state schools and, say, St. Louis (not WashU)- tier schools, you’re fine.

As stated before, schools are not required to wait for your second score before reviewing your app. Which might be why she said what she said

The lady was not lady, she was an idiot. do NOT retake the MCAT until you see how this cycle shakes out.

I suggest the following:
U VM
U Miami (maybe)
U Toledo
Wayne State
Rush
NYMC
Creighton
Tufts
Albany
Rosy Franklin
Drexel
Temple
MCW
SLU
WVU
Tulane
Loyola
Wake Forest
Loma Linda (only if you are SDA or a very devout Christian)
VCU
Netter
Seton Hall
EVMS
Oakland-B
Gtown
GWU
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Nova MD
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide.
Your state school(s).
