Was time an issue for anyone?

I can remember the days of the MCAT when a huge part of the strategy was to be "fast". I have been given the impression that Step I is not the same way. Did anyone feel that time was an issue during the test?

Time was not a factor for me. I was finishing QBank 50 mcq blocks w/ ~15-20 minutes to spare. On the Step 1 I finished each block w/ ~ 5-10 minutes to spare.

It was for me, to a degree. I finished every block but sometimes didn't have time to go back and check all my marked questions. I attribute it to the stressful situation/having to reread questions a few times. In one block I also seemed to get an inordinate amount of "long" questions (the ones where they give you a lot of blood variables...CBC, electrolytes, coags, etc.) which takes a while to look up all the normal values.

I was finishing Q-Bank blocks in about 40-45 mins but took 55-60 mins to finish blocks on the actual exam.

On all of my Qbank sections time was never a factor. I was finishing in 30-45 mins. On the real deal it wasnt for most of the test but on one particularly difficult section I was barely able to get finished w/ all the questions let alone go back an check my marked ones. Kinda took me by surprise.

In general though, sections on the real USMLE did take me longer than on Qbank. Probably b/c I was being extra neurotic about my answers.
