I'm interviewing there on Monday and would like to know if I should show up in the morning with an overcoat. I'm staying at Olin and am pretty sure I can walk over to McDonnell without going outside, but I don't know what the tour of facilities entails. Someone mentioned in the interview feedback that she didn't have to go outside.... is that standard fare?

Yeah, I'm from the South, so I was worried about this too. It's true though. The entire medical complex is connected by bridges/tunnels so you don't HAVE to go outside at all. We went outside and crossed the street once or twice during the tour/going to lunch, but you're not outside for more than a few seconds, so you really don't have to dress that warmly. Good luck with your interview!
If you have an overcoat, I'd take it. I enjoyed a nice walk through Forest Park when I had some free time, and I got to check out the surrounding area's shops, restaurants, and bars, and went down to see the arch. But other than crossing the street during the tour, and maybe to get to an interview, you don't have to be outside at all.
During the interview you are in the hampster tunnels most of the time, at least that's what I recall. But it's frickin' cold in St. Louis in December, so bring a coat anyway.
We got snow on the ground today in st. louis! Brrr!
Olin Hall is super-close to the primary medical school building where the orientation is. If you're not living on campus, but are close to the campus you can call protective services for an escort/ride to the dorm or admissions office (314) - 362-4357.

Some of the "hamster tunnels" aren't heated, I don't know if something was broken when I went, but since you might have to walk a ways to get to your interviewer's office, you should bring your coat--it got really cold in the walkway.
I don't think it matters what kind of winter coat you bring with you to interviews, you're not going to be wearing it when you meet your interviewer.
