Is this any good for surgery intern year?
The Washington Manual of Surgery
or
The The Washington Manual® Surgery Survival Guide
...I preferred Mont Reid for a mini textbook.
Current allegiances aside, I used to agree with you because I thought Mont Reid read better. However, the new version of the Washington Manual has been rewritten in a manner that is more similar to the Mont Reid book, so now it combines the ease of reading with the (in my opinion) more thorough text.
although you'll probably figure everything out in it in the first few months of internship.
100% true
And still worth every penny for making that process less stressful.
so is there any difference in this: http://www.amazon.com/Washington-Ma...ef=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1240161040&sr=8-3
and this: http://www.amazon.com/Washington-Ma...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240161040&sr=8-1
besides price???

I searched on Amazon and other places but couldn't find a new version of the Wash U Surgery Intern Survival Guide. My search is only returning the first edition which came out in 2003. It does look like a newer PDA version is available but can anybody point me to where I find the hard copy version of the new edition? Thanks.
