So, I got this in my email today...

"Please note that this invitation is for an interview for the MD Program only. If you applied to the MSTP Program, they will contact you separately about the MSTP interview."

...and I haven't heard a peep from the MSTP.

Has anyone ever recieved an MD only invitation at WashU before getting one from the MSTP?

Sorry for being neurotic!

I got a straight rejection from the MST program...haven't heard from the MD program yet...

I got my MSTP invite from the MSTP program and didn't hear from the MD at all. Best thing to do is call and ask. The administrative staff there is great.

i think what happened was you selected multiple options on the secondary when they asked you what programs are you interested in

In my experience this was true, but I believe the letter actually mentioned something about not getting an interview for MD/PhD. I agree that checking with the MD/PhD program is a good idea in case they got their wires crossed somewhere, and on the off chance you are still in the running for MD/PhD.

I got the exact same e-mail and am similarly confused. I will also contact the MSTP office to see what's going on.

I called the MSTP office and learned that the MD application review process is much faster, which is the reason why I received an MD invitation before the MSTP finished reviewing my application. Definitely call the MSTP office and ask. They are super nice and told me that I should be expecting to hear from them shortly after Thanksgiving.

Did they tell you to hold off booking the MD interview until later?
