I'm trying to make a good schedule for myself, and I was wondering if watching 8 hours of Kaplan videos a day realistic? That way I can wrap up all my studying in 2 weeks, and start on my second run of reviewing the whole thing all over again. I have 6 weeks left till my exam.

Can others who have been watching Kaplan videos tell me how many hours a day they spend watching them? I usually don't take notes while I watch, just listen, maybe highlight a few things in the book.

Thanks!

Definitely possible, also, depending one which videos and where you're watching, I'd recommend using something like the VLC player and playing it at 1.2 or 1.3 speed. Most videos are a little slow, you can barely notice the difference, but by the end of the day you just saved an hour or 2

I watched them all at 2x for some like physio i'd go up to 2.5-3x for portions. I don't have any of their books so I was typing essentially everything they said the entire time so I can read later. If you're not taking notes, you can easily go at 2x but it can be a little harder since there you're concentrating on the book and the video and not just the video like I was.

It's definitely possible, but you need to be committed, and from your attitude, I think you are committed.

can you explain how you sped up the videos? i've been trying to figure this out forever!

I play almost any video I have on the VLC player. It's a quick free download, just google it. Then just go to the playback option from the drop down menus and select faster, faster fine, slower, or slower fine to adjust. 🙂

How did you get the videos to play through the VLC player? I can't set it as my default, and I the Kaplan website doesn't allow me any options of changing the media player! Thanks a lot, this would save me so much time when the genetics guy talks painfully slow...

Let's just say, the people who are watching them on VLC did not obtain the videos in the same manner you did.

Unfortunately, you will be unable to speed up those videos.
