Would anybody be able to tell me how i could watch chad's videos in 1.5 speed?

Depends on what media player you are using. Usually you can right click on the screen where the video is playing and a list pops up and lets you pick the play speed.

What's the significance of watching it at 1.5x?

I used VLC Player, you can click on the >> button at the end of the -------------- bar to speed up, and << to slow down. The videos go much quicker and you won't miss anything Chad says. I pause sometimes to absorb what he just said about a concept. If something was difficult, play the section again at normal speed. Believe me, it helps.
