Hi,
I wondering if anyone would like to chance me regarding Waterloo optometry.
I'm from the University of Saskatchewan, looking at about a 89-90% average.
I haven't written the OAT yet but I'm pretty good at standardized tests - I got a 39Q on the MCAT (99.2-99.4 %ile) without too much trouble. I'm kind of worried about the provincial quota thing - 'cause I don't know if Saskatchewan marks are inflated. I also don't know how much experience with an optometrist I will be able to get - the optometrists I shadowed looked at me kind of funny when I talked about volunteering. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Hmm it's hard to say how good your chances are because all I know are your marks, which you tell me are inflated. Definitely write your OAT soon! And not required for Waterloo to get shadowing but almost everyone have it so.. and you already have some so that's good. How much do you have if I may ask?

According to the school, there is no provincial quota, I know some people believe differently but who knows...based on the years above and below mine, provincial representation varies every year.
