wave of rejections

There was a wave of rejections early december(for people who didnt even interview) around the time acceptances were mailed. Is there going to be another similar wave on the 15th of jan. or will people get rejected at random times?
id love an interview invitation but if im not going to get one anyway,, then a mercy bullet would be nice

Did you receive rejections on Dec 1st? Has anyone? It'd be nice to know where my app is at at all of these schools.

no i havnt but i havnt had any interview either,,,, according to predents.com though there were quite a few rejections early december,,, I wonder when they will reject next...

from what i understand, looking at past cycles, A LOT of rejections will go out end of Jan/beginning of Feb.

Well, people are laying down their deposits between now and mid-February, so they'll be less spots and additional rejections will go out. Most schools have some sort of system for these things.

Yeah there would have to be a lot of rejections start coming out now. Schools can't keep people hanging on forever, or I guess they could, but my guess is that with less spots they are going to have to be even more selective and be more agressive with the rejections.

shouldn't the people that cancel their acceptances or future interviews open up more interview spots? so shouldn't that mean more interview invites? I guess it will go hand in hand with rejections but I'm hoping for more interviews, it's enough to worry about that. I don't even want to think about a wave of rejections! I've gotten one so far but am getting no interviews and tons of continuing review emails and letters and that's bad enough.
