I am participating in the couple's match and my fiance got an interview at Wayne State. In addition to Wayne State, I also have interviews at William Beaumont and University of Michigan.

Is Ann Arbor too far if my fiance matches in Detroit?

If not, where would be a middle location for us to live? How bad would the commute be?

How does anyone feel about Wayne State vs. University of Michigan?
Would I regret it if I didn't do my interview at U of Mich?

I'm already interviewing at too many places and it would help if I can cut a few. Thanks.

My sister is doing her residency in Detroit (Henry Ford) and her husband is in Ann Arbor for residency. They live in Plymouth which is halfway between the two cities & is a ~30 minute commute for both in opposite directions. Its a cute little suburb - they live in a beautiful condo. Very doable.

I would vote against living in Detroit.

I would go for the interview at Ann Arbor. It is a good program and Detroit is just less than 45 mins away. There're loads of nice towns in between.

Do the interview man...Children's Hospital of Michigan is an excellent program and the best pediatrics program in Michigan...U of M is also a good program, but Children's is better.
