Ways to make up for lack of non-science classes?

I'm looking for activities to help meet the competencies normally given by non-science classes? I don't want to take any non-science classes other than the required 18 hours (only 1 course would be upper level... maybe). I want to understand humanities, but I'd rather do it outside of school, thereby not getting my engineering grades gaschmomped on. Any tips?

I mean I just won't have the classes and some colleges say that you meet competencies by taking them. I plan on studying psych and sociology on my own.

Can you check with your school if taking psych/socio will satisfy one of the core humanities? I was able to substitute social justice class with socio 101.

It won't. I need 2 humanities. Those are social sciences I guess. I already got psych done through AP and my other social science was a geography class. I need cultural stuff.

I'm still confused about what you're trying to find. Are you looking for classes that will satisfy requirements for your university? Requirements for medical school? Requirements for life? What are these required 18 hours you speak of?
