I am scheduled to take my MCAT in August and want to start studying on April 1st, now my question is: I've got TPR and plan on using it but should I also buy BR or EK 1001 or the EK study set to study along with TPR?

I'm one of those people who can learn mass amounts of information but only remember it for a short period of time. This was okay in college but when it comes to studying for the MCAT, I feel like I now have a weak science background!!

Will TPR be enough? I really don't want to buy BR, EK1001, and EK study books but will I be okay if I buy just one or the other?

Please help!

Based on many reviews on here, TPR will be enough. However EK 1001 doesn't have passages very similar to the MCAT but their questions are very good in seeing which topics you're weak and strong in. I know personally, I was able to identify things I didn't know as well as I thought and had to review those concepts before moving on. I just got TBR and am excited to use it because a lot of people who have used it and worked through the passages thoroughly have gotten really great science scores. Their ( TBR) passages are a bit more challenging compared to the TPR. However, at the end of the day there aren't any practice materials that will be exactly similar to MCAT passages BUT it doesn't hurt practicing with different materials so you can be comfortable working easy to convoluted passages. Hope that was helpful. Best wishes!

You are talking about tprh and not the cracking book right? I'm not sure from reading your old posts.

TBR. Absolutely TBR without a doubt. EK isn't going to get you what you need. There are good discretes throughout the lectures. Use TPRH as a supplement and for VR.

It's probably better to spend the two hundred something dollars and do well the first time then having to retake which will cost even more. go with apumic on this one.

Thanks so much guys!!! So I've decided to use the TPRH set I have and scrape up the cash to buy the TBR books! Good luck to all those out there trying to battle this beast!!
