Hi all,

I am a career changer web dev applying to med school. I am interested in psych and FM, but I would also like to integrate my love of programming and building websites into my career. Are there any career opportunities that combine web dev and psych or FM? Thanks!

Check your local private practice and see if they want a web developer. 🙂 There are certainly opportunities to continue with your other career while in school or training. Also check out the professional societies for psych or FM for website developers.

There is quite a lot of work going into the development of apps for mental health and for health promotion and disease prevention. I realize that apps and website development might be different but both have programming on the back end. This is the sort of thing I'm thinking of and I'm sure you can find a ton of information about work being done in North America, too.
