Wow, I just got an invite from Kalamzoo and they are offering, get this . . .

Weekend interviews!

What an awesome idea. My January is starting to look like a jigsaw puzzle and this helps out just a bit.

Yes, Kalamazoo is only offering Saturday and Sunday interviews this year for EM applicants. The residency program foots the bill for your 5* hotel, the pre-interview meeting with free food/etoh and a city tour/lunch for your spouse/significant other/children during your interview. I am a current first year so please PM with any questions...

I wish more programs would do this...!

Geisinger also offers a few Saturday dates, which they noted were VERY popular when I called them to schedule an interview.

Hopefully this will catch on as the programs get positive feedback. It involves the faculty coming into the office on a weekend which says a lot about their dedication to the program.
