Weird DAT Scores: My Chances?

Your scores are great. Yeah QR sucks but the same thing happened to me as i was above 20 in everything but QR (15
). However, most schools dont give a crap about QR. There are some however, that wont accept a score below certain levels (i believe tufts is one) so just call the schools up and check for yourselves

I think you still have a chance knowing that you did amazing in all other sections. However, the QR score of 13 and RC score of 18 will hinder your chances to some degree. I personally think 13 is just way too low and it's considered a red flag, but the adcoms may think otherwise.

Tufts accepted me with a 13 QR.
To the OP, USC sent me a letter of rejection last cycle stating that my 13 QR score was below their 15 minimum.

OC 21

I guess I will retake just to be safe. Plus I have already paid the $285 :/
So, for schools that ask for secondaries immediately I will mention that I am retaking in mid-Oct in my 2ndary app. (Or ask them to hold my app?)
For schools that ask for 2ndaries only after they have reviewed my primary app (like UCLA and UCSF), should I actually ask them to hold my app until I have my new scores?
Do I have other options besides these? Do you guys have any suggestion about what I should do with UCSF?

You will get in somewhere as long as you are not too picky. Some schools will reject you right off the bat who have a cut off in every section but the QR is the least important.
Quantitative reasoning quantitatively sucks, Im sorry to hear about your troubles. You have such a nice AA/TS combo, I hate to see a perfect score get ruined by 1 silly section.
Honestly, if you apply to alot of schools, Im sure a few of them will interview you, you got amazing marks where things matter the most (GPA, AA, and TS). I, believe, you'll be fine and will not need a retake, however, I STRONGLY suggest you bump up your application to more than 15 schools and call up these schools individually to make sure they will not automatically reject you for that 13

Western asked me to apply anyway and retaking would make my application late. (Will my app be held automatically just because I'm retaking, even though I don't ask them to?😕)

I had very similar scores (except for a 23 in RC and a 18 in GC, but still 20 aa), and my apps mailed out August 10th to schools. I got interviews from Marquette, UCSF, Louisville, Creighton, Midwestern and UNLV... My 13 in QR was never mentioned ONCE in an interview, and I was praised for my good DAT scores. I wouldn't retake if I were you... You'll be fine.

I got supplementals from UCSF, UNC (available to everyone), ECU, Midwestern, and MUSC (also available to everyone)
Truth is guys, no one cares about QR aside from affecting your AA.
