As you begin the journey to find the best Doctor of Medicine program for you, we hope you will consider the George Washington University. The cooperative atmosphere, commitment to service, new technology, passion for serving patients and community are a few of the hallmarks of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Through our Student Opportunities Office, students can broaden their educational horizons by being involved in one of seven tracks. International electives and missions, summer research projects, and fellowships are available as well through the Student Opportunities Office. Please refer to http://www.studentopps.com for updated information.

A Humanities in Medicine curriculum is in place for first and second year students. This series of electives is offered in the evening allowing students to explore issues of interest. A book club is also available for second year students.

We continue to utilize cutting-edge technologies to improve the way we teach our students. Our CLASS (Computer Learning and Surgical Skills) Center on the 6th floor of the new hospital offers students standardized patient experiences that are digitally recorded as learning modules and SimMan and Harvey for practicing codes and procedures on reactive (if artificial) patients. The new digital classroom on the 2nd floor of Ross Hall has completely reshaped the way we are teaching core courses such as micro anatomy and pathology.

We hope that you see our MD program at the George Washington University as the place where you can become the best physician possible. Please take some time to review our website at http://www.gwumc.edu/edu/admis/. We wish you the very best this application year.

I think it might be associated with Med-MAR. I got this one and another from Wake Forest which specifically said Med-MAR in the subject.
