Hi All,

I need to see a doctor for a chronic health condition I have. The doctor that is in my insurance network is a doctor within my medical school. This is also a department which I am very interested in conducting research (Endocrinology/or ENT) in the future. Do you think I should see this doctor or should I find someone else? I am just concerned about any conflict of interest between my health and my research goals/letter of recommendation for residency. Am I right to be concerned?

Thanks!

You should contact your school about this. Many schools have rules against students seeing doctors who may be involved with evaluating them in the future.
