Weirdest Class YOu Ever Took

I took a philosophy class on Sexual Consent. My professor practiced S&M. So for our last class of the term, he brought in some of his fellow S&M buddies and they talked about their experience and how important consent is. It was a little freaky..... one of the gals had scars all over her arms....

we had s&m community members come speak to our human sexuality class. one girl talked about how she can't get off if she doesn't bleed. i found that freaky as well. 😱

I took this class at the University of Maryland.

P.S. I finally figured out what "I'm a fermata! Hold me" means   I've been wondering what the heck you mean for the longest time

A class called "FAT". It was offered during our J-term. We talked about weight issues in the United States from obesity to eating disorders. We watched "Whats eating Gibert Grape" and "Bridget Jones's Diary".

My undergrad is in math, and I wound up taking Number Theory, which was great but totally weird. The professor thought that prime numbers were given to us by aliens. He even had the Fox Mulder-style "I Want To Believe" poster in his office...

I also took this awful class, Psychology of Monkeys and Apes. First of all, I couldn't watch the videos of mating gorillas without having to leave the room and laugh. Secondly, I thought most of it was complete BS anyway. Thirdly, I know more about apes and monkeys than anyone I know now... "Of course chimpanzees fashion primitive tools!" Ugh!

My religion 460... which they allowed me to do on "Through Hobbits' Eyes: Religion in Middle Earth". I watched a lot of LOTR.

Hebrew scriptures.... I didn't think it would be weird, but when we started talking about Noah sons doing nasties, and really really old people having lots of sex, it was a little strange.

The History of Video Games

I don't know if this is common as a gender class, but the class I took was called Men And Masculinities. It dealt with why men are violent and how society inherently gives men authority. Very interesting class, and surprisingly, I was only 1 of the 4 guys in the entire class.

My friend took this great class called "Desire." We had both heard it was amazing, so decided to go to the first lecture to see what it was about. Once the class started, a flamboyantly homosexual man (not that anything is wrong with that) dressed in a tuxedo walked into lecture hall, opened a bottle of champagne, and said "if you have a problem with the work butt-****ing you might want to leave right now." We then watched an hour of gay porn. Unofortunately, I ended up not being able to take the class due to a conflict. I heard from friends who took the class that the lectures were amazing.

Human Sexuality. On the first day of class, the professor went over different cultures and their sexual rituals. One of the rituals was like Song of the Reeds or something like that where an adolescent girl comes of age by having the "privilege" of receiving as much semen as possible from a bunch of men. A couple of days later we watched a female ejaculation. 😱

Sorry if I offended anyone.

I took this class, too (UW, Winter or Spring of 2003). The weirdest ritual I remember is the culture where all children are considered female while they are on women's milk until the males are taken away to be given "men's milk" so that they become men.

Something like that. The boys have their own mentor (for lack of a better word) who they perform oral sex on and have anal sex with. Apparently it works since they start when they're about 9 or 10 and within a couple of years, sure enough, they've begun to produce their own "men's milk."

damnit, now i wish i had gone to a liberal arts school. the most interesting class i took was epistemology and systems and controls(robot theory!)

some of these classes sound like SOOOOO much fun. damn engineering damn damn damn 😡 😡 😡

"Alien Sex" (lit/film science fiction course)

😀

i took "Magical mushrooms, mischevious molds" it was awesome
my final paper was on the hallucinogenic mushroom, aminita muscaria (the fly agaric) my prof spent a lot of time tripping out in the backwoods.

Mine was "Love, Sex, and Gender in Japanese Literature". We actually read a book that was written in the 16th century called The Great Mirror of Man Love. All about gay samurai and kabuki actors...

Really interesting.

Hudler rocked!

Revolutionary Philosophy. Wow that was a great class. oops, is a great class. I'm actually supposed to be writing a paper for it right now, instead of procrastinating. Anyway, it's a really interesting class. Almost made an anarchist out of my bleeding heart liberal self. And the prof's cute. That never hurt. 😍

"Management Lessons from the hit TV show 'THE APPRENTICE' "

"Devils, Deals and Death" This class focused on the Faust legend in film and literature. Amongst others, we watched a Polish film with an X-rated puppet scene. Weird.

I too have studied this interesting mushroom, muscarinic receptors kick ass, much more than the nicotinic, in my opinion
