Hooray... got sick 1 week before DAT and on antibiotics making me tired as hell. I really don't want to push this thing back. I'm at a loss.

i was really sick for a month while studying for the DAT, I had to push it back a full month but in the end it all worked out.
do what needs to be done and try not to put too much stress on yourself.

you have to weigh between taking it while sick or pushing it back and needing to study more to make up for it.

Do you think postponing until mid-August is too late? My application has already been submitted. I have to be on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks and they are giving me brain fog bad.

I personally didn't feel comfortable going into August (I had a July 29th exam last year) but I would say it's as late as you'd want to go if you decide to reschedule.

I got the flu last year and had to reschedule my DAT. Do what you have to do. Better to give yourself an extra couple of weeks than have to wait 3 months to retest.
this is very true... I don't want to have to retake. I'm just bummed because I've worked so hard to get my application in early and get ready for this test and now I wont be early anymore. Nobody said life is fair though lol! Thanks all for the insight.

Are you overthinking it? How well prepared are you? Pushing it back isn't too bad but it'll start getting to the late side. It takes several weeks for ADA to upload to AADSAS and then AADSAS takes their turnaround time to send to schools. Some schools accept unofficial transcripts, but not all of them. I know some people that applied on the very last day before the deadline who still get in with average scores, but not everyone gets lucky. Weigh your options before you decide to postpone.

I feel pretty prepared but the problem is the antibiotics are giving me heavy brain fog and lethargy. Like I will go to do some QR or GC calculation and it takes me forever to figure out the question being asked... this wasn't a problem before the antibiotics. I have an infection in one of my organs so I'm on some pretty strong stuff. I'm waiting until the very last minute to postpone because I REALLY don't want to if I can power through. I'm just worried about going into the exam and it taking me 5x as long to do each problem.

Do not take it unless you are 100%.
