So we got accepted to dental school... What is everybody planning on doing before first year starts? Are you relaxing? Vacationing? Studying anatomy? Share your pre-dental school plans here.

yes, i'm finishing college, then i'm going to sit by the beach everyday until dental school starts. Oh and i'll be going to the gym in the mornings before

looking forward to relaxing, dental school is going to be a long hard 4 years, so rest up!!

enjoy the time off while you can. 🙁
 
Hang out with friends and family, work part-time until May to pay off some bills, vacation for a month, then move in & relax for a month before school starts.

maybe visit my brother in oklahoma.
move into boston first of july.

I'll probably establish a beach bum status somewhere.
 
work/finish classes. then, take the month before school off to bum around.
 
I start June 1. I just bought a house and need to move into it. I am going to go teach at an international school in Denmark for a month. When I get back and after moving in I will have a few weeks to explore a Charleston, SC and sit on the beach enjoying the fact that I am in. I need to buy a surfboard.
 
Heavy weight lifting and cardio, take a vacation somewhere, fix car problems...

Evidently, we should start making analysis of the 'best' dental schools
 
enjoying the last few months of good warm of Cali weather b4 moving to the eastcoast. also, hitting up the VIP tables at Vegas!

Surfboard is definitely a must. Let me know if you need lessons... I'll be at MUSC too.
 
Quitting my job right after I graduate, having a HUGE graduation party!, going to Cancun, visiting a friend in Texas, moving to Baltimore in July!!
 
try to get out my masters before dental school starts 👍

Hopefully a research thesis and additional degree will help when I apply to specialize
 
Spring break: road trip to the bay area.

Summer break: vacation in florida or australian sun.

In between: keep studying hard.
 
Going to Jamiaca in March

then a couple of weddings

then moving 5 miles to Downtown Charleston

Sowing some wild oats while possible

EDIT: OH, and being on the boat and in the sun as MUCH as humanly possible! If I get fired.... SO WHAT!
 
I'm finishing up here in may and moving home for a few months.
Going to a few cubs games.
Going down to tennessee to visit some friends for a week or so.
Going to vegas in june.
Going motorcycle riding just about every other day.
Finding ways to make myself broke before I ever move down to Alton, because having money is overrated.

I did go to Jamaica at the beginning on Jan and I just found out that im going to San Juan PR in a few weeks!! Also training to bike the US this summer
 
this thread makes me so happy! im planning on spending as much time with family and friends as possible, working (as little as possible lol), and just relaxing. hopefully take a small trip somewhere?
 
I'm also going to sell my car, and probably to carmax since I don't want the hassle of bargaining. I know we're supposed to be "enjoying" our time right now, but I seriously can't wait to start d school. I'll probably look back on this thread and ask myself why I was so eager 🙂

You're going to Tufts right? Did you join the Fbook group? Im thinking about just withdrawing my interview at UMaryland and just stay at Tufts (UMB was my first choice). Theres a lot of cool peeps goin there off this forum and the Dental students there were cool as hell. Plus its only an hour away from home.. AHH IDK
 
I'd still go to Maryland if I were you. It might either support your decision to attend Tufts or persuade you to attend UMB. I read you passed on your NYU interview, do you regret doing that? If not, maybe UMB will be the same way. There's a reason why you're drawn to Tufts, figure out what it is and decide.
 
I've got to figure out where I want to go before the relaxation begins... it's between MUSC and UAB. Any Suggestions??? I love Charleston, but UAB is a great school and offered me money...
