I've seen a lot of posts about comparison of schools on the East coast, but not too many about the four colleges on the West side. I'm trying to decide on which ones I want to apply to, so I'm wondering what everyone has heard/experienced about the different schools.

Obviously Berkeley is the top school, but I'm concerned that it is a bit too focused on research experience, rather than clinical. I've heard they've tried to nip that stereotype in recent years though.. I went to Pacific for undergrad so I know what its like to live in the area, but any views from someone who applied there?

I was planning on applying to Berkeley & Pacific, and maybe SCCO. NECO as well, for the opportunity for new experiences in a good area. I was thinking of staying away from Western since it is quite new.

Also, if anyone has questions about the campus, lifestyle, or student body at Pacific, I can help out with that 🙂

From the Berkeley website they make it seem like they emphasize tons of clinical. They say graduates see 2500 patients total or something. Anyways i didn't apply there because i don't think i'll get in and it'll be too competitive environment 😵
I applied to SCCO and NECO too! both great schools in my opinion.. i also applied to western as a backup but that's at the bottom of my list since they are brand new and still establishing themselves

Maybe you can throw Arizona (AZCOPT) in there too, since it is the only other school near the west coast? However I think they have a new program too.
