Western Interview: chances of acceptance

I just got an interview invite from Western University today!! 🙂 I was wondering if anyone knows the chances of getting accepted? I know that for schools like UOP you have a really good chance of getting accepted if offered an interview. Does anyone know what the chances are with Western?

DDSbh- my DAT scores are AA20/TS20/PAT19, my GPA was 3.3 and my science was 3.2 and i got the application complete email sometime in mid december

No i was just joking.....But more seriously, there is no way to tell because western is a new school and there is not much data for interview/acceptance ratio. Even if we used last years numbers it would still probably greatly differ because of the huge volume of applicant they received this year. Just go kill that interview and maybe that 100% chance will be true!(im there on 11/30)

it's pretty well known fact and no it only applies to pre-dec 1st interviews from UoP. I'm not sure if these are rumors or not, but i think doc toothache's chart said that pre-dec at UoP is almost 100% in but not with post-dec

yea it's really hard to tell you what your chances are.
But Western does look for the personality of applicants so if you do well on your interview you should have fair shot at it.
only thing is it's post-dec which limits numbers of seats you will be interviewing for (about 1/2 will probably be filled by dec 1st acceptance IMO), but i believe Western being new, lot of people from dec. 1 acceptance will probably decline if they get multiple acceptances, therefore hopefully more opening in the seats for people like you

yeah i figured I would have a slimmer chance because it is a post-dec interview! but I'm gonna prepare well and I know a couple of people who interviewed there so hopefully that helps. Oh, and I just realized I wrote my application was complete mid-december. Obviously that's not true hahaa I meant to say mid-SEPTEMBER. Hope that helps and thanks to everyone for the advice and input! Happy Thanksgiving!

Way to dream, Tommy43087. Just because it's a new school doesn't mean that they're desparate for students. Last year I think that a third of the people who were interviewed were accepted.

If you get an interview, that means that they like you on paper. If at the interview they don't think you'll be a good fit, then you won't be accepted. All of the faculty have been doing this for a long time and they know what they're doing.

Good luck to all of you guys interviewing! As a first year at Western, we're all really excited about the next class. 🙂

I haven't had my interview yet. It's on Dec. 7th. I really hope I do well, because I've been hearing a lot of good things about the school. Did they call you with an acceptance yet?
