Did any of you applying to Western get an application complete email? A while back I received an email stating I needed to mail some more things in, but I haven't heard back from them since. Will they contact me to let me know if my app is complete and it is being reviewed? AADSAS says nothing...

Assuming you have sent out your secondary application for them (from the website), you should expect an app complete email about 2-3 weeks. If you have, you should call them and confirm. And, they said they would inform about an interview offer or rejection after 2 months of the app complete email is sent.

They will email you to tell you that your app is complete and sent to Adcom for review.

After numerous emails, the finally sent me an email saying that they have received my AADSAS application and my secondary, and I should be receiving an email confirmation, when my file is complete.
I never received that email!!!!!
And every time I called them every since, they've just told me that they're very busy due to the large volume of applications they've received this year, and it's gonna take a while before they process my file.
But it's been 4 months already and I'm really frustrated. I don't think they have any clue what they're doing at Western. So, I'm gonna call them tomorrow and see if they can provide me with an answer other than "you need to wait."

Just a heads up...I spoke with western today and they said my application was complete, despite the fact they never emailed me to let me know after they emailed me requesting more materials and I sent them...if you are in the same situation I was, shoot them an email or give them a call! Dont necessarily wait for an "application complete" email, because you may never get one!

Definitely agree with giving them a call.. Don't be afraid they are actually really nice!!! lol.. I was kinda in the same situation as you guys when I forgot the prereq sheet (dont ask me how).. one call and I got the application complete today.. 👍

their emails seriously drive me nuts. i got an "App Received!" email over a month ago. Last week I got an "App Complete!" email. Today, I got another "App Received!" EMAIL! not to mention a bunch of other non-admissions related emails in between. gahh, just wanna see an invited for interview email already...

I don't know the exact date, as I lost all of my emails from before 8-17-09...it was some time before then. I was in the first mailing too.
I can tell you that by the beginning of this month, they already had as many applications as they got all year last year, so I am sure they are still sifting through the apps...

Well, it doesn't seem like they have any clue about what they're doing!!!
I've received more "Explore Pamona" emails from them than I would ever need in my entire life.
How about the admission people at this "great school" get their S*** together and start reviewing applications instead of sending out emails about Pamona's attractions.
Honestly, at some point, Western was among my top choices for Dental School. But if they can't manage their admission process properly, I wonder how on earth are they going to manage their Dental School?!

My AADSAS mailing Date was 7/17/09. I sent my secondary to Western shortly after. I received all those other random emails too but no official your application is complete email. I received an application received email 8/25/09. I got a phone call Oct,9th for interview 9/19/09. They said that the number of applicants has nearly doubled this year. Hopefully you will get a call soon.
