It says to list all the other DO and MD programs you have applied to. I am going to list all the DO programs, ofcourse, but how about the MD programs? Do they have access to AMCAS or other ways they can find this out? Because I have applied to many MD programs but I don't want this to hurt my chances of acceptance for DO...

this won't hurt your chances; it will come up in the interview, they'll say "why did you apply to so many schools, why western" just say you didn't want to limit yourself

I wrote whatever that fit in that space. At the interview I was asked where I applied to, and I told them I also applied to MD schools as well. I still got accepted so I don't think it really hurts you.

is it normally the case that DO schools set up interview w/ you even before they receive your 2ndary? i just got my 1st ever interview invite from Western and have yet to complete 2ndary! Am very happy of course.

Yes this is seamingly very typical this year, as it happened to me and a # of other students that I interviewed amongst. I was accepted.




As for MD schools being listed, it doesn't hurt your chances, and I listed all the MD schools.
