Hi everybody,
I was wondering if there is anyone that has gotten accepted to western off the waitlist for this year (fall 2004)? If so, when did you find out and do you know how they pick and choose who gets in because I know they do not rank. Thank you very much! 😕

I am in your boat! I, too, am on the waitlist at Western U, and have NO idea where I stand, or what my chances of getting in are. Its very frustrating that they don't tell you where you stand. 😕 Have you tried to call them to ask for more information? I've tried, but haven't gotten any luck. They've told me that lots of people drop at the last minute, so that's when they usually start picking from the wait list. When did u have your interview? When I had mine, one of the speakers at orientation mentioned that there were a great deal of people selected from the wait list the previous year...

I havent tried calling them, but one of my friend's that is also in the same situation as us tried calling and emailing, and they told her that they have not yet picked any alternates. I was in the last set of interviews, what about u? Let me know if you find anything else out please. This is the only school I have a chance of getting in for this fall! 🙁

I just got my letter of acceptance yesturday!!! My interview was on the second to last day, and I've been on the waitling list since April. The day before I got my letter, I called Western to try and find out more info (how many people are on the list, have they picked anybody off the list, etc), and she told me that they actually JUST started picking people from the waitlist as of last thursday. But I'd try calling, and find out if they can answer any questions that you may have. I did ask her if it would be beneficial to send my transcripts to Western. She said it would be good if there were good marks from the previous quarter or semester that you would want the admissions committee to see. So I'd suggest that to make yourself stand out more. 😳) Also... just to be prepared... get all of your things prepared (i.e. physical, find your shot records, make sure things are up to date) because when they notify you last minute, they dont give you much time to get alot of those things done...

Congrats!!!...I'm soo happy for you. Wow, they sent you your letter really fast. I really really want to get in. I havent been emailing or calling them..should I? I just didnt want them to think I was bigging them. Also should I send in my transcripts? Now I am nervous since I know for sure they have started picking people. Do you know how many students they are going to pick? Thanks for the update...and congrats again!
