It says one must have BS in Pharmacy.

I will have BS in Pharmacology

The program is supposedly suupose to allow you to skip first year of pharmacy. 😀

Do I meet the requirements?

Help please

This program is more than likely a postbaccalaureate Pharm.D. program. Meaning, this allows pharmacists who hold the older BSPharm degree to obtain a Pharm.D. by doing additional didactic coursework (pharmacy practice classes), then finish their clinical rotations. They don't need to take their pharmaceutical science year (year 1), because their BSPharm coursework took care of that. Unfortunately, this program appears to be only for pharmacists (either domestic or foreign-trained), with the old bachelors degree in pharmacy...not pharmacology, as this major typically doesn't qualify you to practice pharmacy (BSPharm does).

hmm. thanks. It's fairly new unusual program. Maybe they will change it up soon. We'll c.

It says that one must take the IEE, which is an exam w/ all the material from first year of pharm school. 60 percent is passing.

They provide u w/ the material to study. Maybe they will let me take it.

The only reason why i am interested is it might be easier to get admitted into this program. Also saving a year ain't bad.

i'm pretty sure that LVPharm is right, it's only for practicing pharmacists. although, i know someone that is a practicing pharmacist with the BS in Pharmacy. He recently was hired as a pharmacy manager so i don't really see a reason for BPharms to go back to school, but there must be one, they developed a program for them!!

Yeah LV is proly right.

The program didn't open yet at western.

they weren't specific when they said one must have a BS. I got too optomistic. 😳

no harm in being optimistic!! isn't MWU a 3 year program? that's not too bad!!! at least you'll get done a "little" sooner with their program!
